Major payment processing updates

Over the past week or so I have been doing some major updates at all my websites. These updates involve the payment processing.

Any purchases made at my sites now will be redirected to my secure server, protected my a SSL certificate, issued by GlobalSign, an industry leader when it comes to SSL certificates.

This was a major update and a big step in moving forward here in 2017. As I say all the time, we always need to be moving forward and looking for ways to improve our business, this is definitely one of those ways to improve.

There are several reasons for this new payment processing system and here are two of the most important reasons:

  1. Any new payment gateways I add now can be easily added to this payment processing page without having to do any major updates to every one of my sites.
  2. The new payment page, which is protected by the certificate, is required by some payment gateways as well as it gives me the ability to accept credit card payments. Being able to accept credit card payments is huge in itself.

As it stands right now, I am accepting Payza, PayPal, Solid Trust Pay and Credit Card payments at all my sites. This opens up a much larger market as it gives customers more choice on how to pay. Some people can not use certain payment gateways so this gives them the ability to buy where they couldn’t before.

There are a lot of payment gateways out there but unfortunately there are various reasons that prevent me from using them. For example, some don’t have any sort of IPN or API to use to update customers accounts after a purchase which means I would have to update the customers account manually, this is a no no of course. Other reasons may include things like, Country restrictions, industry restrictions and the list goes on. I am however, still looking into more payment gates and unfortunately I can just add one because one person asks for it, there has to be a market for it, of course.

This has been a huge step to start of this new year however, there are more things to come. I am just getting started! 😉
